The Ubiquity theme song, written and performed by Cameron Wade for their 35th anniversary in 2008.
In 1973, Ubiquity, the oldest African-centered social organization chartered on the campus of Howard University, was founded by a group of 18 and 19-year old school students. This video by filmmaker and Ubiquity member Ada Babino, was produced for their 40th anniversary. Ubiquity co-founder Cameron Wade composed the theme song. Donald Temple, co-founder and guiding mentor, opens the video. Kwanzaa creator Ron Karenga explains why Ubiquity survives and thrives.

One night I was listening to "As A Matter Of Fact," a song I wrote with Rick Hodge. Because the chorus says about love: "It's coming down, like a tidal wave coming down -- washing over us," I thought it would be cool for the video to showcase surfers doing their thing through water. That initial thought led me to the story of Michael February. "Mikey," who grew up in Capetown, South Africa, during the ending of that country's segregated apartheid system, is now a worldwide surfing competitor.
SNEAK PREVIEW! "Behind The Mask," the first single from Cameron Wade's new album, "Freedom Of Expression," looks at the need to find strength to overcome situations in life that used to make us pretend that everything is okay. From an abused woman who finally decides she's had enough to a rich man who realizes he's still just a slave to to a songwriter who "breaks the chains" that had both himself and his art bound to conformity.
Last year, Cameron Wade premiered a lyric video for the single, "The Words.," from the album, "One Human Race." The song had it's official release on February 14th, (Valentines Day) 2020. The song is now available on Apple music and all online music stores.
